Good Riddance 2009

All of you know that 2009 was not nice to our family. 2 layoffs for a total of 21 weeks without work. 4 moves, 3 schools for the kids and a lot of pain and suffering for Cliff and I. So far 2010 is looking GREAT and I can not wait. A new year, new job, new house and within a couple of months a new car :) I hope that all of this greatness continues through out the year cause god knows I can't do what we did in 2009 again. We have been very lucky to have wonderful friends and family to help us through all of this and be there for us when we needed them.
My new years resolution is 1. To lose weight (but seriously who's resolution doesn't have lose weight as their #1) 2. Be better at blogging cause I really want people to be able to keep up with us. 3. Continue being the best mother that I can be and always be there for my kids when they need me. Hope everyone can help me out on these...

See you all in 2010 :)
Happy New Year

YAY!!!

Cliff got a job in Kanab... We are living with my parents until we can save enough money to get into a place. I hope we can be in our own place by the first of the year... I am so happy to be back here. I feel like we belong here and I should just quit fighting the fact that this is where we should be. When we were here last time it was the best job he had and now that he is back I can only hope that it is going to be the same way. I will try to stay up on this and update everyone on what is going on with us... Thanks for everyone's support during our 15 week nightmare we love you all :)

Moving... Yet again

Ok, so it has been 5 months since I last blogged. I really suck at it, but I promise there have been things going on that has made my life a little busy. So lets start where we left off. cliff got a job in St George and we were in Kanab. We found a place in St George and moved in. We loved our place. It was big enough for all of us and it was ours. Then 3 weeks to the day after we moved in Cliff's work went under and he lost his job. We had no idea it was happening, but we really should have seen the signs. We do now. So for the past 14 weeks he was been unemployed. He has been doing some side jobs, but nothing substantial enough to pay the bills. So we decided that it was time to move to Kanab with my family until he could find some work and we could get back on our feet. We finally decided to move Dec 1st. We told our landlord and he has been awesome. So after we made the huge decision to move in with family Cliff got a job... Where else?? Kanab!!! Can you believe it?? I am so happy. So we will be living with my parents for a couple of months until we can save up to get our own place again. I am so glad the the nightmare that has been haunting me for the past 14 weeks is finally over. I can sleep at night and I am quite a bit happier. So it looks like we will be in Kanab for at least a year (he made them sign a 1 year contract). I just can't explain how happy I am and believe it or not I am quite excited to be moving back to Kanab... Now we just need to pack up the house and move all our stuff over there. We will be moving over the Thanksgiving weekend and then Cliff will start his job on Dec 1st. Well that is what has happened in the Painters house....

Southern Utah

YAY!!!! We made it (sort of ).... So we are in Southern Utah. We have had an eventful couple of weeks, but we made it. First off, Cliff graduated from College.... Daxtons last day of school was Wednesday June 10th, Cliff graduated from college on Thursday June 11th and we had a party for Cliff on Friday the 12th and then moved on Saturday the 13th.... WOW what a busy couple of day that was... We are in Kanab for a couple of months to save money and try to get out of debt a little. Then we are off to St George.... I can not wait I am so excited to finally be in St George, there was just too much drama in American Fork that I am glad to be done with it all.... I hope we can start to get our lives back together and the kids back to something familiar.... So wish us luck and hope to see everyone down here soon.....

16 Days and Counting!!!!

Hello everyone, I know I kind of suck with this blog thing.... I will try to do better I promise. Anyways here is the latest with us. Cliff has been working down in St George for the past 4 weeks. He loves his job and couldn't have asked for a better one. He is staying with my brother Todd and his girlfriend Trina until we can find a place down there. The kids and I are still in American Fork. Raegan's last day of school is tomorrow and Daxton's last day of school is June 10th. Cliff graduates from College on June 11th and our plan as of right now is to pack up the moving truck on Friday the 12th and then leave early the 13th. As of right now we are going to Kanab and staying with my parents. That way we can make up all the money we lost while Cliff was out of work. We should be down in St George by the beginning of the school year for the kids. Hopefully!!!! So that is what is new with us. Also we went to the Zoo this past weekend and I will post some pics this weekend of that ..... Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Cliff got a job...

Yay!!! To all of you that read this and have kept up with what is going on in the Painter household here is an update for you all. Cliff was just offered a job as Lead Web/Graphic Designer at a company in St George. Yes St George. He went down to St George for the interview not expecting them to call him 2 hours after the interview and ask him to work the next day. So he wasn't prepared (clothes wise). So he will be in St George Monday - Friday and come home on the weekends. The kids and I won't be moving down until the school year is up here, only 4 weeks. My mom has agreed to come and stay with me for a couple of weeks the middle of May. That way I won't be alone and she can help me start to pack a little bit. Now we just need to find a place to live. We really like living up here, but with the way the econemy is right now we have no other choice. Cliff was out of a job for 6 weeks and it was hard. We had no intentions really of moving back to Southern Utah, but after a couple of weeks of only looking up here we started to look in St George too. He loves his job and I am so happy. So if anyone one knows of a place to live in St George let me know, we are looking.

More news, all of you have probably heard of all the trouble that Cliff has been having with his school well we finally have seen the light at the end of the tunnel. First off they finally gave him his new computer that we have been fighting for for over 4 months. They finally realized that he needed the new computer to finish his school DUH!!! Anyways after that fight we got the best news ever (except the job news)... CLIFF'S GRADUATING!!!!! He graduates on Thursday June 11th at 6:00 pm here in Provo. We would love for all of you to attend and please let us know if you will be able to make it. We will be sending out announcements soon. Well that is all for now so hope everyone has a great week and I hope that I will be able to get on here more and add pictures and keep up with it. We love you all!!!! Thank you for the support....

Past couple of months in a nutshell....

Ok, so it has been a while, but these past couple of months have been crazy and. Well Christmas came and went and around that time Cliff got word that his work was doing layoffs and pay cuts. Luckily he got to keep his job, but did have to take a 15% pay cut which really sucked. January came and went nothing to exciting in that month. February was really good. The kids had Valentine parties at their school and got a lot of loot. My parents came up that weekend. My brother Paul his wife Jamie and their kids Jessica, Britney, Alyssa, and Kyler along with my sister Brandy her husband Joe and her kids Kedley, Elija, and Asher with my parents and Cliff and I (no kids) all went out to dinner for Valentines day. Cliff and I had a really good time and tons of fun. I am glad we were able to go out and do that. The rest of February was not very eventful. March started of with a bang. My mom and I were able to go to Seattle for my cousins wedding. I have never been on a plane and it was so much fun. I was a little nervous at first but after the take off I was fine. When we got to Seattle my friend Merissa picked us up and took us to our hotel. We spent that night helping my Aunt Carol decorate the church for the reception. After we got that done we went back to my Aunts house where my Uncle was cooking us dinner. It was so yummy and I could not wait for Sunday when he was going to cook for us again. The next day we went to the Temple where my cousin got married (congrats Kelly) and waited for her so we could do pictures. It was really windy and rainy there that day. I love the rain and I think I could have a lot of fun living in Seattle. After she got married my mom, me , my aunts and cousins all went back to our room to freshen up before the reception. We went to the reception and had a lot of fun laughing and goofing off. The next day was our "tourist" day. We went to downtown Seattle and walked around. We went on a Ferry to Bainsbride Island, saw the Space Needle, we had Clam Chowder, fed the Seagulls, Shopped, and went to Pikes Market. I had a lot of fun but I was tired after that day. We all went back to my Aunts house and my Uncle cooked us dinner again. We had coconut curry shrimp and rice. Can I just tell you fresh seafood is so much better than seafood we get here in Utah. My uncle is a great cook too. I can not wait to take Cliff up there to meet my aunt and uncle and have my uncle cook REAL seafood for Cliff. I missed Cliff and the kids more than anything, but it sure was nice to get away. I also loved being able to get to know my cousins again, it had been way too long not being able to hang out with them.
Now to the part of our month that sucked. I got home from Seattle on Monday and the brakes on my van went out on Tuesday. Cliff went back to work on Wednesday and after working half the day, he noticed that a lot of people were missing from around the office, hoping in the back of his mind that they were all sick he got the news. His work was doing layoffs again. This time they were laying off the employees that made more money and that were up for a raise (Cliff was up for a raise April 1st). Cliff lost his job on Wednesday March 18th. I think that when it first happened Cliff and I were in such shock that it took a couple of days to click, "oh crap we don't have an income". We are taking one day at a time and we have our moments when we just cry and wonder what we are going to do to take care of the kids. Cliff has been searching like crazy for a new job, and will take anything that he can get right now. I am trying to be strong for him, but there are times when I just want to break down and cry. I know that it will all work out I just hope that it is soon.
Well that is where we are at so far this month. I really will try to update this more often. I don't know who really reads this though. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and let us know if you know of any work...
