So I thought that I would be better at this whole blogging thing, but guess who really sucks at it? Me! So here we go.
With 2009 out of the way and 2010 being pretty good to us. Cliff has an amazing job that he loves. The first part of January Cliff got a promotion with a pay raise. That has helped us get our lives back in order. I love all the support that we had while Cliff was unemployed and hope that I can help people that may need me the way we were helped.
The kids have adapted well to the new school. Daxton is doing awesome with his reading and homework. He gets 100% every week on his homework and he has already passed off his first set of reading books. I am so proud of him and love him so much. Raegan has done better than I ever expected. She has surpassed over 60% of her class with her reading. Exactly 6 weeks of school and she had received her t-shirt. She had to get 40 points and each book is worth 1/2 point. She is an amazing and smart little girl. I love her so much and I am so proud of her.
Addisyn has started to go potty in the toilet. I know this is not something everyone wants to hear about, but it is HUGE in our house. We have been trying for almost a year and she just refused. So when we moved into our house here in Kanab I made a vow to get her to go. The first 2 days were hell for me. She sat on the toilet for hours and would just scream and I would sit in there with her. With Kaysen home with us too it was taking a toll on me and made me want to throw in the towel and just say "Ok Addisyn you win AGAIN". But no I didn't and guess what when she did it for the first time she was hooked. I was so happy. It has been almost 3 weeks now and she very rarely has an accident. I love having her out of diapers.
Kaysen is Kaysen and keeps us laughing every single second. He is a riot. He is always getting into something and causing his sister to be mad at him. He is talking so much and I love it. Next step with him is potty training, but that is going to have to wait until I am better.
So now we are to me. Everyone knows that I have been struggling with Endometriosis since I was 13. It has been hell. I am always in pain and always on pain pills. The pain pills aren't doing anything anymore. So we have finally made the decision to pay to have a hysterectomy. We do not have insurance yet so we have to pay for it and it is a lot of money, but in the long run it will so be worth it. We have scheduled it for March 10th and I can not believe how excited I am to have this surgery. Cliff keeps teasing me that after I have the surgery I will not be able to handle not being in pain since I have had to deal with it for 16 years. I love that Cliff is so supportive and is going to be working from home to take care of me and the kids while I am down. I will be down in bed for 2 weeks and then slowly will be able to add in normal activity. I can not wait to be out of pain.
So that is what is new with us. We are finally starting to get our lives in order after 2009 and hopefully we can put it all behind us and hope that it made us stronger. We love all of our friends and family and are so thankful to have all of you in our lives. Thanks for EVERYTHING :)
